Breath is actually the Latin root for spirit. Spir. Spiritus.
Spir. Respirate (the act of repeated breath), inspire (an idea breathed into mind), conspire (breathing together), perspire (breathe through your pores), spiracle (a whale's blowhole), aspire (breathing towards a goal).
Breath is not just an act of providing oxygen to our cellular being, but of giving life to our whole Self, body, mind, and spirit, and of connecting with others around us in living energetics.
This word came to us so strongly in regards to Sonder's path for 2024. We are here because of breath. Full body, soul, and mind breath.

2023 was all about entering the state of Sonder.
Sonder is a word coined by author John Koenig:

n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.
We launched our business, Sonder Adornment, in Feb of 2023 using this word to pull us deep into the space of creating for the energetic needs of others.
Now, as we enter 2024, we are finding ourselves deep within an expansion of that word Sonder. Into the very spirit of it.
