What is Paperclay?
Paperclay is a child friendly, non-toxic modeling clay made of natural materials.

Do You Bake Paperclay?
Paperclay is an air dry clay and takes about 3 days to fully dry after carving/sculpting.
Is Paperclay Brittle?
Yes it is very brittle before we treat it. After our multistep sealing and glazing process the jewelry becomes very durable.
Is Paperclay Jewelry Lightweight?
Paperclay is featherlight!

Are your finishes environmentally friendly?
All of our finishing materials are earth friendly, water based, acid free, low VOC and 3rd party certified non-toxic.

What kind of paints do you use?
We use a mixture of certified non-toxic, handmade, earth and plant pigments, most of which have been turned into watercolor paints or pastels to color the clay.

How do I Care for my Jewelry?
Each art piece is unique and designed to be carefully worn with awareness and reverence. It's natural elements may vintage and evolve with time.
-STORE IN A CLEAN, DRY, DARK ENVIRONMENT.
-KEEP AWAY FROM MAKEUP, PERFUMES, OILS, AND CREAMS.
-DO NOT SLEEP IN OR SWIM OR SHOWER WITH YOUR JEWELRY.
-IF NEEDED, GENTLY AND QUICKLY CLEAN EARRINGS WITH A SOFT CLOTH OR Q-TIP AND SOAPY WATER. DRY IMMEDIATELY.
What if My Jewelry Breaks or Gets Lost?
If an item breaks or separates during normal wear, despite following our care guidelines, within the first 90 days you may send it back to us for repair or replacement.
After 90 days, any repairs will require a $20 charge, plus shipping fees, and we cannot guarantee a repair will work. We do not replace broken items after 90 days. Please contact us about the necessary repair so we can help you ship it back to us.
What metals do you use?
We use sweat-proof, ethically sourced, 14K gold filled jewelry components.

I'm a Silver Soul, do you offer other metal options aside from 14K Goldfill?
We do not keep any other metals in the studio but if you would like to special order a custom metal please contact us.
Do you offer returns?
We offer 30 day, no questions asked, full refund returns for unused, full priced items in their original condition including gift wrapping.

How soon will I get my jewelry?
Sonder Adornment LLC does its best to ship orders within 5-7 business days of placement.
However, Pre-Orders and custom or customized orders may vary up to several weeks. Please carefully read each product description to find out if it has a special shipping timeline in the the details. Click here for our full Shipping Policy.
I made an order several weeks ago and have not received shipment info. What's up?

If the item was a Pre-0rder or custom piece it will not ship in our normal timeframe and Ellie still may be working on it for you. You are always welcome to reach out and inquire about the status of your order anytime! Click here to connect with us about your order.

Are You Ever at local markets?
At current, we are not able to commit to in person markets, due to Ellie's disability.
I live locally, can I pick up my pieces?
We do not have organized local pick up at this time.
Can I shower and swim in my jewelry?
By prioritizing biodegradable clay, paints and finishes, there is not extra space for rough play such as swimming or showering with your jewelry on. It will degrade quickly in water. Click here for our guide on caring for your art.
Do you take Payment Plans?
There are multiple payment options in the checkout, including Affirm payment plans.
